Iron and H. Pyori

Question:

Hey  Folks,,,   To all it may concern.  I read from a couple of sources  a while ago that H. Pylori loves iron.   I have seen it mentioned in a few posts in this newsgroup  that  raising ones Iron is a desirable goal as it helps fight fatigue.    I  am suggesting that anyone who has  stomach problem  could very well be shooting themselves in the foot if their problems are H. pylori related.   Food for thought I guess. Regards Bohanna

I’ve also read that H. pylori hates bismuth so taking Pepto Bismal is good to combat H. pylori. And there is research going on about ‘mastic gum’ Don’t know much about it but it’s suppose to kill H. pylori.

<< I’ve also read that H. pylori hates bismuth so taking Pepto Bismal is good to combat H. pylori. Yes But it is like using a band-aid for a MAJOR wound.   IF the Pylori is causing the stomach problems the chances are that it has progressed WAY beyond Bismuth alone.   And there is research going on about ‘mastic gum’ Don’t know much about it but it’s suppose to kill H. pylori.  >> This is the first time I have heard this .  If you find out more about it please Email it to me . BTW I had H. Pylori and it took around 300 Pills ( in two treatments ) to cure it. regards Bohanna
